FENCER'S PRETZEL®AN INNOVATIVE WAY TO ATTACH WIRE TO STEEL POSTSThe Fencer's Pretzel® is a simple, uncomplicated attachment for non-electric wire, that is fastened by a commonly available clip to steel fence posts. The Fencer's Pretzel® is a steel fence post attachment that goes between the steel fence post and the barbed wire. It is attached on the fence post by the common steel fence post staple clip which attaches the barbed wire to the fence post. The Fencer's Pretzel® has a gap in it's design that allows it to be fastened anywhere along a fence's length so the wire is not threaded through it. The rectangular shape accommodates handmade splices that occur near a post as well allowing for the wire to move when changes in wire tension take place such as when re-tightening the wire. This shape allows changes in tension on the fence wire along its length to take place when retightening the fence wire or when animals or machinery or snow load cause sagging or breaking when they come in contact with the wire. The staple clip holds onto the horizontal pins of the Fencer's Pretzel®. It is made from a length of rod formed into a hollow rectangle with a gap which allows the fence wire to pass into the hollow rectangle, allowing the fence wire to be held in position near the post but still providing for movement from side to side. The gap in the design of the Fencer's Pretzel® fence clip allows the clip to be attached anywhere along the line of fence without threading it from the end of the fence wire. The Fencer's Pretzel® can be attached to old or new posts without modification to posts or wires. The most difficult part of keeping steel fence wire tight is that fence wire clips must be removed before the wire can be retightened. The Fencer's Pretzel® allows the wire to be worked without removing the individual clips when the fence needs to be retightened. The Fencer's Pretzel® design is simple and uncomplicated, quite durable, and easy to attach. The Fencer's Pretzel® is made in a rectangular shape to prevent it from flipping in place if up or down movement on the fenced wire occurs on the T-style post. However, the clip will flip or move on the U-style post.
